Preliminary Preparations Before Periodical Controls


OBJECTIVE
To ensure preliminary preparation done before periodical controls by the companies with in the context of occupational health and safety in line with legal legislations and standards.

SCOPE
Steam boiler, heating boiler, hot oil boiler, compressor, air vessel,aotoclave, hyrophore and special equipments in the scope of pressure vessels.

APPLICATION
General
Companies should keep auxiliary staff and required equipments ready below equipments. Files consisting tenchnical information of equipment to be controlled, should be ready during control.
  • Steam boiler and hot water boiler
  • Air pressure
  • Heating boiler
  • Hyrophore
  • For Steam Boilers and Hot water Boiler
  • First of all should be kept cool in order to perform healthfully.
  • Boiler heating surfaces should be cleaned.
  • All leakages should be prevented on the boiler.
  • Boiler valves (safety valves, main steam exhaust pipe, blow down valves) should be blinded by blind flange.
  • ½ inch nozzle should be left on the boiler and test pump should be connected to this nozzle.
  • Boiler front and back lids should be opened.
For Air Vessel;
  • Turn off the power switchgear that provides electricity to compressor.
  • Compressed air in the air vessel should be discharged from blow-off valve.
  • Prosestats and safety valves on air vessel should be blinded.
  • Vent Pipe on compressor should be dismounted considering check valve air vessel connection.
  • Blow-off valve (installation side) on air vessel should be closed.
For Heating Boiler;
  • First of all boiler should be kept cool.
  • Boiler smoke tubes should be cleaned
  • All leakages should be prevented on boiler.
For Hyrophores;
  • Hydrophore electricity connection should be cut-off
  • Compressed air in hyrophore should be discharged from blow-off valve.
  • Prosestats and safety valves on hydrophore should be dismounted on hydrophore.
  • Hydrophore tank entry and exit main stop valves closed tightly.

► Preliminary Preperation Before Lifting Equipment Control

OBJECTIVE
To ensure preliminary preparation done before periodical controls by the companies with in the context of occupational health and safety in line with legal legislations and standards.

SCOPE
Forklift, crane, workshop hoist, cargo elevator and special equipments in the scope of lifting equipments.

APPLICATION
General;
General cleaning and maintenance should be done.
Companies should keep auxiliary staff and required equipments ready for below equipments. Files consisting technical information of equipment to be controlled, should be ready during control.
  • For Lifting Equipments (Crane, Mobile Crane, Workshop Hoist, Cargo Elevator)
  • For crane, cargo elevator and workshop hoist load that has a capacity up to 1.1 and 1.5 times of each equipments should be prepared.
  • Capacity diagram of crane, cargo elevator, and workshop hoist should be kept available and load; capacity up to 1.1 times of any load in diagram; should be prepared.
  • During control wind speed should not exceed 8.3m/s (30km/h).
  • During mobile crane control, fuel tank of crane should be filled at a rate of 1/3 to 2/3.
  • Cooling liquid, lubrication and hydraulic oil levels should be at a level that manufacturer denote for operation.
  • For Forklift Equipment; (Forklift, Pallet truck)
  • Capacity diagrams of Forklift and Pallet truck should be kept available and any loads in diagram should be prepared.
